From your phone to your glasses
Open the web app, enter your destination and use “Copy display URL”. In the Meta AI app, enable Developer Mode and add that URL under App connections → Web apps. Choose Pair glasses on your phone, then enter its one-use code on the glasses. Your phone sends its live position, directions and walking metrics every two seconds. Keep both pages open; the display warns when updates stop.
Prototype status: GPS tracking, GPX export and the simulated demo are available without a Google key. Real routes require a restricted Google Maps browser key with Maps JavaScript API and Routes API enabled. The owner configures it once at /walk-lens/setup; all devices use the saved configuration. Google billing must be enabled.
Designed for a 600 × 600 display and directional controls. Hardware behavior, location updates with a locked phone and continuous display operation still need on-device testing. This is an independent experiment by Gerçek Dorman, not an official Google or Meta app.
Location recording starts only when you start a walk. Full recorded trails remain in the phone tab unless you export them; reloading clears the walk. Pairing shares the latest location, route and directions through the server with your connected display. Updates expire from view after 30 seconds; sessions expire after 24 hours and are deleted when disconnected or during later pairing cleanup. Saved places persist until removed. Google route requests share the starting position and destination with Google. Walking routes may omit sidewalks and pedestrian paths.
